Yong In Martial Arts Academy is composed of a team of dedicated experts.

 

Master Koh

Master Koh

Master S.H. Koh was born in South Korea. He started practicing TAE KWON DO in 1967. He continued his study of TAE KWON DO at In Cheon Physical High School.

After high school, Master Koh attended the acclaimed Yong In University, the world's most prestigious university for the martial arts and South Korea's premier institution of higher learning dedicated to the research and practice of competitive athletics, coaching and instruction.

Upon completion of his studies at Yong In University, Master Koh was both competitor and instructor of the Korean Special Forces TAE KWON DO team during 1983 through 1987.

Master Koh taught TAE KWON DO at Yong In University from 1989 to 1992. While he worked as an instructor, he pursued and received his Master’s degree in Physical Education specializing in TAE KWON DO at Kun Kuk University, Seoul, South Korea. Master Koh moved to the United States in 1992 where he continued to teach TAE KWON DO. In 1997, Master Koh opened Yong In Martial Arts Academy in Franklin, Tennessee.

Master Lee

Master Lee

Master J.K. Lee born in South Korea began practicing Tae Kwon Do in 1976 and continued as a Tae Kwon Do major through High School, later adding a Hap Ki Do major. Master Lee attended the prestigious Yong In University in South Korea specializing in Combat Arts (Hap Ki Do, Kum Do, Tae Kwon Do, Boxing & Wrestling) and was a member of the skilled Korean Tigers Demonstration Team. During his college years at Yong In University, Master Lee visited the U.S. seven times with the Korean Tigers performing demonstrations at World Class and International events between 1989-1992. His first visit was a demonstration for the Tae Kwon Do U.S. Open at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.

In 1993 Master Lee moved to the U.S. to teach Tae Kwon Do in Chicago where he spent almost 20 years instructing in Martial Arts before coming to teach at Yong In Martial Arts Academy in Brentwood, TN.

Master Kwon

Master Kwon

Master S.J. Kwon born in South Korea began practicing martial arts at a very young age. His techniques and abilities were recognized while competing nationally in his teenage years and earned him a scholarship to attend the respected Yong In University in Yong In, S. Korea. Master Kwon earned a Master in Physical Education, Specialty of TAE KWON DO and a Bachelor in JUDO.

Master S.J. Kwon Master Kwon began his career as high school Judo coach. He was an instructor in the City of Busan, the Guri City Athletic Association and Moo Do Martial Arts College, S. Korea in the Department of JUDO, TAE KWON DO and Combative Sport Martial Arts (Kumdo, Jujitsu, Hapkido, Yongmoodo & Boxing) before moving to the U.S. in 2006 to teach at Yong In Martial Arts Academy in Brentwood.

Master Brian Anglin

Master Brian

A 4th Dan Black Belt in both Taekwondo and Hapkido, Master Brian is a native Tennessean, born in Franklin. His love for martial arts started at a very young age and has continued through his study of Karate, Ju-Jitsu, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Hapkido and Taekwondo. During his martial arts tenure Master Brian has competed in and won Taekwondo, Karate, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments. He started with Yong In Martial Arts in February of 2000 assisting Master Koh and teaching both Taekwondo and Hapkido classes. Outside of the dojang, Master Brian spends time with his wife Kris and is very active in his church, spending time weekly as a sound engineer.
